You are Moxie Fabulous...

Back with my third post for the day!
Inspired by the colours, layers, flowers and stunning butterfly, with the sentiment inspired by the whole aesthetic from this weeks Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Elegant Emerald.  Inspired by this weeks MUSE card too - but too late to join in there.  I first stamped the Autumn Leaves large flowers and Ali Edwards sentiment in Versamark Watermark and heat embossed in Zing Clear, then liberally swiped with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn then spritzed with Glimmermist Denim, before drying with a heat gun.  I highlighted the petals of the flowers with Dimensional Magic.  The sentiment was disappearing into the background, so I highlighted it with silver leaf pen and black ZIG writer.  I used the black cardstock Memory Box Vivienne butterfly to help draw the focus back to the sentiment too.

Playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks Cool Shades Challenge, combined with some more homework from Pattern Play Day 1 too.  Patterned papers are a mix of Echo Park, Lily Bee and Bo Bunny, with this gorgeous spring chick from Paper Smooches, with the sentiment created by combining Spring Fling and Chubby Chums, with a few buttons from my stash.  Sketch is flipped from this weeks fab Retro Sketches by Lori.

Happy Birthday...

Getting inky to create the background for this weeks Paper Smooches Cool Shades Challenge, I Thought I'd give myself an extra challenge by creating a no stamp card for this weeks CASual Fridays No Stamps Challenge based on this weeks Seize the Birthday sketch challenge, where this week is girls week :) and featuring die cuts to play along with Moxie Fab Card Creations Week, Accentuate the Negative, and colour graduation to play along with their Ombre Challenge too.
Created the background using a mix of Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Shabby Shutters, spritzed with Iridescent Gold Glimmermist.  These fab die-cuts are Paper Smooches Alphawhimsy and Butterflies 1.

Flower Power Easter...

Can you tell it's Easter soon!!!  I thought this Purple Onion Designs Faith the Chicken was a perfect go-to for a flower filled Easter card, and perfect for this fortnights Catered Crop Flower Power Recipe Swap.  Playing along with Day 1 Challenge from Pattered Play Class too - a bit slow off the mark this week! Papers are a mix of Crate Paper, Kaisercraft and MME, with a cute Paper Smooches sentiment.

Almost Dashed...

I thought I'd set myself a somewhat less ambitious card for this fortnights 10 Minute Craft Dash, so as the timer started I was much more relaxed - BIG mistake, as "Dash" and "Relax" are two words that should not share the same craft space LOL!

I had rather leisurely scored my cardstock base, and trimmed my checked Pink Paisley paper and kraft cardstock to size, adhered my checks to the cardstock base and nicely rounded the corners, fetched some washi tape to hold my MFT heart die and branch dies and WPlus9 bird die in place as I cut them, laid out my ready to be assembled card on the table then looked at my stopwatch in horror, just under three minutes to go!

I really pushed this one to the wire, as I umed and ahed about whether I had time to stamp my sentiment, and it did not stamp as crisply as I would have liked, I grabbed my brown marker and handwrote over "some" to try and rescue my stamping efforts - and JUST scrapped in at 9 minutes 58 seconds!  Next time I know not to relax til AFTER my card is created LOL.

A Perfect Pair? Pairfect...

Thought it was a pairfect afternoon to see if my crafting efforts would bear fruit, playing along with...
Keep It Simple Fruity Challenge
The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired Challenge
CAS(E) this Sketch
Just Add Ink Just Add Green Challenge
I found the pairfect Cuttlebug embossing folder to pair with these gorgeous The Alley Way Stamps, heat embossed in Zing Cricket (I so think this should be renamed Hairy Lime after that fabulous Mini paint colour!) to reflect the lime green and white combo from The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired Challenge, (I reckon that chair is shaped like a pear tipped on its' side too, don't you!), and this afternoon I kept more true to this weeks hugely versatile CAS(E) this Sketch.

Could be the pairfect time for you to play along too...

This made me smile!

A CAS(E) of Dynamic Chevrons...

Whenever I spy a yellow and black colour combo I think of sunshine & happiness, so when I spied this weeks Dynamic Duos soft yellow and black colour combo, this is what sprang to mind.  I thought I'd challenge myself to create a monochromatic chevron card, perfect for playing along with the Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week Chevron Challenge, and to get into warm up mode for the Pattern Play class commencing tomorrow.  I had based this originally on this weeks fabulously versatile CAS(E) this Sketch, but I'm not sure whether my tinkering has pushed it outside the boundary lines :)  The papers are a mix of MME papers, combined with Lil Inkers stitched Photo Frame - I love how the chevrons are cut so they create a trail of arrows around the frame.  This gorgeous camera is from Imaginesce Scooter's Vacation, and the sentiment is by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday.

Hope you have a fabulous day today :)

A MUSEing Train of Happy Thoughts...

When I first saw Therese's fab MUSE card this week, I was immediately drawn to the negative die cut and yellow background, which made me think of the sun, which reminded me of some free downloadable wall art I had seen on-line, which inspired me to create this...

As the focus of my wall art is negative die cuts, I couldn't resist playing along with the Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week - Emphasise the Negative Challenge, Just Us Girls Negative Die Cut Challenge, and as this verse is taken from a song I thought it was perfect for playing along at City Crafter Challenge Inspired by a Song too.

Wall Art created using paper from October Afternoon, My Favorite Things die-cut clouds and alpha, Marvy scalloped circle punch was used as the basic outline for the sun then hand cut the rays, Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder, Basic Grey alphas and LOTS of pop dots!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit :)

In a Flash...

When I saw the Camera Craze Challenge at Moxie Fab World, my first though was of this series of photos I had not yet scrapped, when my DS discovered the first lesson of photography - don't look directly into the camera at close range - in a flash the reason becomes blindingly obvious.  Then the palette for Color Combos Challenge arrived - with its gorgeous silvers and circle inspiration, and the perfect multi photo circle sketch from Sketchabilities, so I decided it was time to get back scrapping!
I used these gorgeous Bo Bunny Mama-razzi papers and chipboard stickers, together with this grid paper I purchased in Canada 7 years ago (it's been quite a while!!!) combined with Tim Holtz mini clear film roll and Ali Edwards stamps from Technique Tuesday, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Pewter Zing.  The Delish alphas were inked with Versa Color Silver then clear embossed.  I love the use of silver in this layout as silver nitrate and silver halides are used in the photographic process.

Hoppy Easter...

How cute is this little Stampendous Busy Bunny in a basket!  I thought it was perfect for playing along with this weeks CASology Bunny Challenge, and used this fab Freshly Made Sketch, Color Throwdown and Scrapbook Boutique photo as Easter inspiration.  Each bunny was stamped three times, once onto the background papers, once onto white cardstock and once onto kraft cardstock, then paper pieced, and finished with My Favourite Things Funny Bunny sentiment.

Hop you have are headed for a Hoppy Easter too ;)

Pinkspired...

This fortnights Pinspired Challenge is sponsored by the Sweet Stamp Shop, so I knew I had to join in the fun.  Inspired by the gorgeous dark timbers, flashes of green, large typeface, and Happy theme, I stumbled upon this paper from Simon Says Stamp which I thought would provide a perfect base for my card.  I added alpha stamps from Websters and a die cut rose from Spellbinders, with My Favorite Thing leaves and voila!

Thought the colours were perfect to join in this weeks City Crafter Shades of Pink Challenge
