A Brilliant Day...

Inspired by this weeks CASual Fridays Hi Ho Silver, and this weeks fab Seize the Birthday Feminine Birthday Sketch, I heat embossed this gorgeous chandelier stamp from my stash, using silver tinsel, matted in silver glitter paper, and created the sentiment using There She Goes Sentimental Birthday and Paper Smooches Alphadots, backed with silver mesh ribbon, and finished with some Kaisercraft bling.

Hope you have a brilliant day too!

With Thanks...

Thanks... to everyone who follows & visits my blog, it makes the journey so much more rewarding :)

Todays card was inspired by Cardabilities Sketch #69, which I mirrored, and Color Combos Galore Challenge #231, with its gorgeous pallette of teals, pink & red with neutral, with a focus on photo #3, incorporating buttons, circles and magic mesh.  Seeing as I've incorporated a scalloped circle die-cut and a scalloped edge die-cut, I thought I'd join in the fun at Splitcoast Stampers Die Crazy Lovefest 2013 Challenge too. Papers are mostly Kaisercraft Fine & Sunny, with Faith the Chicken from Purple Onion Design, an assortment of Prima flowers and sentiment and buttons from my stash.  I think I'll call this style "Clean & Complex" LOL!

Hope you all have a wonderful day & a fabulous week!

Better Get Better...

I LOVE the fabulous colour palette this week at Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge, and paper pieced my Paper Smooches earth and spaceship to play along with Keep it Simple Paper Piecing and used my stars embossing folder to join in with the Catered Crop Star Bright Recipe Swap.  Papers are from Pebbles - with my sky of hearts, and MME.

Playing along with Addicted to CAS It's Raining Men (or perhaps boys in this instance) and CASology Flame too, even though there is a lot of "space", whilst I would call it CAS some may think it is perhaps slightly veering off course!

I flipped this weeks fabulous Freshly Made Sketch for this card, you should check it out too!

Baby Boys & Baskets of Sunshine...

I haven't played along with Play Date Cafe Challenge in a while, and as I had the perfect The Twinery Stone twine to play along, I jumped at the opportunity :)  I combined this weeks colours with Less is More Up in the Air Challenge, together with this fab sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  I added extra texture to this scene by dry embossing the Victorian Square with clouds, in addition to the gorgeous faux stitched detail on these L'il Inker Sun and cloud dies.  The gorgeous hot air balloon is from The Alley Way Stamps Lighter than Air, and I highlighted the balloon and tether ropes with The Twinery Stone twine.  This cute sentiment verse is from Practicing Creativity.

A Little Crazy with Washi...

Have you seen Marion's gorgeous Muse card this week - made entirely of washi!  It inspired me to break out my washi tapes and play along with this weeks Muse Challenge, Moxie Fab World Camera Craze Challenge and this fabulously versatile CAS(E) this Sketch.  I loved the colours and use of negative die cut in this weeks Muse card too and created both backrounds using my washi stash, with a stamped and diecut sentiment created using The Alley Way Stamps and My Favourite Things.  The two cute camera eyelets are from my stash too.  I love that by pop-dotting the negative die-cut it creates a greater depth of field ;)

Hope you get a chance to break out your washi tapes or get a little camera crazy this week too!

A Dashing Smooch...

So glad you have joined me for this weeks 10 Minute Craft Dash - with a FAB gift voucher from Paper Smooches this week, even more reason to give it a try!
This week I had a cardstock base just about ready to go, with this gorgeous chocolate hearts paper by Bo Bunny left over from my mad rush of Valentine's cards.  I tried stamping for the first time using Hero Arts Cup O' Joe - and loved it, stamped three in a row on cardstock and two patterned papers (inking between stamps) and they all stamped perfectly - I was very impressed!  Fussy cut mum and baby elephant, cutting straight from mums trunk to her foot, and gluing baby elephant on top to save time.  Even with gingham checks to align my cardstock I went slightly off course - oops, just pretend you didn't notice LOL.  Wrapped the twine around my card and half knotted before threading through my button and tying in a bow - perfect for this weeks Paper Players CAS Buttons & Bows for Baby Challenge.  Rounded the bottom corners as a last second finishing touch.  Phew - 9 minutes 48 seconds, just in time!

Check out the rest of the 10 Minute Craft Dash Design Teams fab creations, and some super cards from Paper Smooches Designers too.  Hope you are inspired to join in!
Remember you can pull out your supplies before it starts, even have a sketch in mind,
and if you don't quite make the 10 minutes you can still post your creation
(but you won't be eligible for the prize).
P.S. As luck would have it this weeks colours are sooo close to the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge that Kim has encouraged participants to link up for both Challenges :)

You Got the Notion...

Inspired by this weeks Tuesday Trigger - I've A Notion, and this gorgeous Retro Sketch by Kim, I inked up my Paper Smooches Raggedy Ann doll for this vintage inspired card.  I'm more of a CAS girl at heart, so I've a notion this is about as much notion as I'll ever have LOL!  Papers are from October Afternoon Cakewalk and Crate Paper, and the cute vintage buttons were from my stash.  The stitched border embossing border is from Cuttlebug.  Tempted to add "...as all the best reds do" to the inside of this card for my favourite redheads' birthday.

I don't know about you, but til this weeks Tuesday Trigger - I've A Notion, I had no notion that these were known as notions LOL!

Don't forget you still have a few days to post for the Paper Smooches March Guest Designer Search too!

A Tale of Two Cards...

Card #2 - Keepin' it Simple

Card #1
I thought I'd play along with two challenges this week by combining Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge with the Keep It Simple Snowman Challenge.  My first card (below) was based on a rather literal interpretation of this weeks Paper Smooches sketch, and I wasn't convinced it was CAS enough for Keep It Simple, so I CASed it up a little more, with a more metaphorical (or in this case perhaps it's meta-chlorophyll) interpretation LOL.  As the CAS version was so predominantly red, I thought I'd add it to this weeks CASology Red Challenge too.  Both cards are created using Paper Smooches Warm Hearts and Pretty Phrases, together with October Afternoons Cakewalk papers and Dienamic Snowdrift diecuts.  Card #1 also has a cute Studio Calico wood veneer heart.

Dancing in the rain...

I struggled a bit with this weeks gorgeous Muse card by Therese, mostly I think because purple is not my favourite colour, but in the end I found a crocheted doily in my stash which became a perfect focal point LOL!  Inspired by the bands of colour, the colour palette and the "glass half full" sentiment, together with the clustered focal point from this weeks CAS{E} this Sketch.  I recycled the cardstock window removed from this mornings card to create my sentiment panel using this fab Verve sentiment stamp, together with a Spellbinders butterfly, some gingham ribbon and Kaisercraft gems, in the end it all came together surprisingly quickly.

Many thanks for stopping by, much appreciated :)

Heartfelt Red Retro...

A quick card today based on this fab Retro Sketch, and created a window for my rectangle panel.  The focal point of my red felt star (hand cut using a Heidi Swapp chipboard heart as a template) was perfect for joining in this weeks You Felt It Challenge at City Crafter and the Red Challenges at CASology and Papercraft Star.  The sentiment is computer generated, and this Echo Park paper was perfect for inside.

The Love Bandit...

Thought I'd ink up Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest Racoon, aka "Love Bandit" to play in this fortnights {Lawn}scaping Be My Valentine Challenge, and this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch.  I rotated my card from the sketch so it became landscape instead of portrait, and my Love Bandit was free to roam at large! Papers are very old Bo Bunny &  Making Memories, together with some letter stickers from Bo Bunny and Adorn-it.  Fab to be dusting off some of my old stash, just mind out you don't start sneezing LOL!

This made me smile...
