Advent Calendar...

Today's card is part of the fabulous Advent Calendar over on the lovely and hugely talented Christine's blog Das Kartenchaos, with 24 fabulous videos to watch, her Advent Calendar series is jam-packed full of Christmas inspiration!!!

Inspired by the card below, created earlier this year, with its bold colors, clean lines, different layers, and washi tape. The section inside the Lil Inkers Stitched Polaroid frame was filled with strips of Christmas washi tape, before the WPlus9 "Joy" sentiment was cut and pop-dotted, and the little wooden heart added.  My favourite Paper Smooches Freezy Fellas snowman has been paper pieced in MME papers.  Playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge, and CASology Knit Cue Card.

A CAS(E) of Paper FUSION...

Ideally I may have re-stamped this using silver embossing powder, but even more ideally I wouldn't still be making Christmas cards this close to Christmas LOL.  But if you need some added Christmas inspiration, there is plenty about with this weeks CAS(E) this SketchPaper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge, CAS on Sunday Christmas Challenge and FUSION.  Created using Paper Smooches All Yule Need baubles, bow and sentiment paper pieced in Crate Papers Sleigh Ride patterned papers, with silver glitter paper and Silver Singo pen highlights.

Lawn Fawn "FALL for you" Shaker Card...

I have to admit, I had about a hundred ideas to play along with Lawn Fawn CHA Catalog Challenge, and totally ran out of time to do all hundred, so this will be it for me this year LOL!

Amazingly I managed to photograph this without any light reflecting off the shaker box - so it's difficult to see it actually is a shaker card!
  • Created by spraying a sheet of watercolour paper with a mixture of reds, oranges, yellows and gold Glimmermist and Dylusions inks and drying with a heat gun.
  • From this watercolour sheet, die cut Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves, and stamped Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest fox.
  • Die cut white cardstock with Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card and Cole's ABC's, and used the negative die cut sheet as the front of the shaker box card.
  • Stamped Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest "for you" sentiment.
  • Adhered the stamped Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest fox to a sheet of cardstock for stability and fussy cut then inked the edges, before positioning in place on the front of the card.
  • Adhered a clear sheet of plastic around the edges of the back of the die cut cardstock, for the front of the shaker box.
  • Created the shaker box using foam tape as the edges and a second sheet of cardstock as the back of the shaker box - inserting the die cut leaves inside the shaker box, before sealing (so would have LOVED the Lawn Fawn Sequin leaves to be included!)
  • Adhered the shaker box to the front of the card.
  • Discovered I had accidentally left out one of the leaves, so I adhered the little yellow leaf to the front of the clear cover of the shaker box.
Playing along with Therese's fabulous MUSE as well,
inspired by this cute Lawn Fawn critter and negative die cut letters.

Fabulous MUSE card!

Lawn Weddings & Lace...

I thought this would be the perfect card to create with a piece of left-over lace from a wedding dress. Gold glittered die cut Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC letters, and an ampersand created by tracing a chipboard one from my stash, adhered to a piece of lightweight black ribbon. Playing along with Lawn Fawn CHA Catalog Challenge and Less is More Metallic Element ChallengeReally Reasonable Ribbon Bingo (White, Text & Glitter) Challenge, and Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes Challenge.

In the Mood for Joy...

The first thing I noticed when I saw the current WPlus9 Monday Mood Board, was the wide red and white ribbon. When I saw this weeks CASology Ribbon Cue Card and this versatile Freshly Made Sketch, this is the card that had to be made LOL! Featuring some gorgeous red, silver and white wired ribbon from Spotlight, and this much loved WPlus9 Joy die-cut, and sparkly silver paper from American Crafts, backed with cardstock for extra stability. The wire in the ribbon makes it extra easy to attach to the card - just fold and stick! Playing along with The Ribbon Carousel Anything Goes Challenge (and hop on over if you want a Ribbon Carousel before they close their doors too).

Can't wait to catch up with my crafty friends tomorrow!!!

This made me smile...
